Macbook pro stuck in zoomed in mode

Hello,

I hit some buttons today and now my computer is stuck in some sort of zoomed in mode. But i cant zoom out. and the toolbar and windows are absolutely huge. It seems like som kind of mode for the visually impaired. I dont know what it is or how i did it, but It is extremely annoying and I cant figure out how to switch it off.

someone please help me, i'll provide any info I can.

Everything or only the window of a single app?

Everything - System Preferences - Universal Access - turn off Zoom

Single app, for ex Safari - try command (the apple key) + the negative sign (-)

i tried turning off zoom and its not just one app. its the whole thing

and i cant see the whole universal Access window because it extends below where the screen is zoomed to and I cant move it down to see it.

is there any way to restore defaults without losing any of my stuff?

Did that fix it? I got a chuckle from this thread...I can see that happening to me. There you are with everything on the screen 40x bigger than it's suppose to be and no way to fix it...funny.

Ok I tried everything u said, and it didnt work. when it happened I had a sushi tray resting on that area of the keyboard though. is there any function that needs to be enabled for it to work? cuz I turned alot of things on and off.

Try the swipe again - hold ctrl down and use two fingers to scroll down on the trackpad.

Have you tried restarting the machine?

to turn Zoom off = 'Command' + 'Option' + '8'.

nevermind, my friend fixed it for me. It was the resolution under display

The answer on my 2010 MBP is "command" + two finger down swipe, not "control"

It's control plus two fingers on my 2011 with Lion.

I am running Lion as well!
