Depending on the condition, it's most likely worth very close to what you paid for it. I would say it's worth what you paid minus tax + shipping (if any). Good luck.

You should be able to get close to that. Strike while the iron is hot, and get that thing sold! :D

Mac2Sell.net is now bookmarked. Thanks!

Since the new Mac model releases only happened today (hours ago)...I'm sure that the used computer market has not been able to react to these new computers.

I would expect the values of used Macs (especially newer iMac & laptop models released within the past 12 months) to see an immediate decrease in value...that's just the way it goes when new stuff is released.:(

Thus the used computer values on Mac2sell.net will probably see a decrease as well shortly.

Hi all,

I'm kind of new here so be kind. :D

I have the urge to trade my current 20" Core Duo iMac for the new LED 24" whiz bang thingy. (Tech speak)

I read this thread and visited Mac2Sell and checked out my old iMac. Is that site really about right? It values my old iMac at $680. :(

And hat I want is over $2500. Dats a lot of mmolah for I don't know WHAT.

Anyway, is mac2sell a realistic projection of value for used iMacs?

Thanks.

Yes, it is the most accurate gauge for fair pricing on used Macs I've seen.

OK. At first I thought it was kind of low until I realized this is my older iMac. Probably 3-4 years now.

I just looked at the new iMacs. Nice.

Check e-Bay as well. Then you can get a "guestimate" of your iMac's value between the Mac2sell value & e-Bay.
