Hi everyone,

I will need to hook my MBP to a lcd projector via VGA port for presentations. Apple offers a Mini Display Port - VGA adaptor cable as a solution. However, I saw a store brand product from a major electronics retailer that is a Mini DVI - VGA adaptor for half the Apple price ($16 vs. $30).

Is Mini DVI the same as a Mini Display Port? I would hate to spend 2Xs the price for a little VGA adaptor if the store brand product will do what I need.

Thanks,
Doug
