is it possible to do a system restore on a G3 ibook

dgeneral here again folks,

is it possible to do a system restore on a G3 ibook, you know, to sort of restore the system to how it was on a specific date?? if so how the monkeys truffles do you go about it??

That depends greatly on what OS you're running.
OS X 10.5 has Time Machine, but since you're running a G3 iBook, you wouldn't be able to run that OS.

at the moment i am currently running 10.4 are you saying that due to this i am unable to do a system restore

There is no Time Machine with 10.4 so the nearest thing would be to back up using Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.
Either will create bootable backups to an external drive.
