Hi guys, I just got my macbook pro a few days ago and a problem has already happened.

Basically when I wanted to charge my macbook pro, it said "Not Charging" next to the battery icon with a green light lasting for a few seconds then orange. But in fact it was charging. Also I have noticed that the battery cycle count is 4, does it mean it is old?

Your help and advice is well appreciated. Thank you very much.

Brand new? If you're experiencing charging problems, contact Apple or take it to your local Apple store and let them look at it.

4 cycles on a brand new MacBook Pro battery is not unusual. Factory testing accounts for the extra cycles.

Regards.
