Where are my movies saved?

where do my movies that I imported into imovie get saved? I presume it is not the iphoto library. Is there a way of comparing these imports against my iphoto library? I have over a hundred movies so I can't manually go through them and check, it would take forever.

Did you check your movie folder?

Macintosh HD => Users => user_name => Movies

Yeah, they're in a folder called iMovie Events in your Movies folder. Inside that folder you'll find more folders named after the events you created while importing the files into iMovie.

To find duplicates, you could try something like this; it looks like it has a seven-day trial that might work for you.

Im not a big fan of spotlight anymore since i have found Quicksilver. Its a app just like spotlight but has so many more features in it and is 3-4 time quicker finding a particular ANYTHING yo are looking for, as lone as u know what the file starts with. Try it out and i guarantee it will impress you. Its the easiest way i have found, trying to find something im not sure where it is hidden. You can down load it HERE
