• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Morning all, I was tasked to make some copies of a training video that we had made for the company a few months back as there are only 5 copies left. I thought this would be a breeze on my Mac but I was WRONG...

The DVD was protected with encryption but as we own it I just ripped it to my hard drive. I thought I could just point IDVD to the folder and click burn but that's not the case at all.

Can any of you tell me how to burn a ripped DVD on my hard drive to a DVD? When I ripped the original to the hard drive it created one folder named "company training video". In that folder it contains two folders, VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!

~Gregg

Sorry, no help here with DVD ripping. Even if you own the DVD, it's technically illegal to break the encryption in the US under the DMCA. And since we don't allow discussion of illegal activity here, this thread is now closed.
