Using f4 in Dreamweaver CS4

Pressing f4 in Dreamweaver CS4 is supposed to cause the vertical panels on the rights isde of the screen to disappear. However, when I press f4, the Dashboard appears. No combination of f4 and command, option, control, or shift works either. Can some tell how to make f4 work as advertised in Dreamweaver?

have you tried fn f4?

Yes, that works. fn is on the other side of the keyboard, and I missed it. Thanks.
