I have one in my LAte 2008 MBP Unibody 2.53Ghz. It made all the difference in the world. CPU speed has nothing to do with SSD/HDD speed really. The CPU can handle stuff much quicker than any storage device on a laptop can dish it out.

Nope, no problems here. I have a 128GB SuperTalent SX running in mine. I could never go back to a platter drive now. No special care needed and NO MORE BEACH BALLS!

wicked cheers XJ

i'll be using an external harddrive to save most my video editing projects on so a 128gb one would do the job, is there any lag when it nearly gets full?

None thus far, but mine is only about 52GB used/60GB free. Upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6 did not cause any issues, nor did it make anything run quicker from what I can tell.

FYI - the SuperTalent SSD's of the SX variety are Samsung SSD's, same manufacturer that Apple uses.
