I am so lost with the whole iTunes library.
Earlier this year I moved my library to a external hard drive. Changed the library location in the iTunes preferences and moved the files. Everything was running fine. Until later on I noticed that iTunes was reading those files fine, but was adding the new songs to a new folder.
So now I have one library with old music in one location and all the new music I added after the move in another folder (both inside the external hardrive
My question is.. how do I put everything in the same folder? (without losing the library info, of course). I can't use "consolidate library" because it will attempt to copy the files over to the new location and I don't have enough space on the external hard drive to do so... I just want to keep all songs in the same location and tell itunes to look for them there.
