I miss my scanner

I have a very nice Xerox Documate 510 scanner that I would like to use with my Mac. Xerox has no Mac drivers and the Apple SL site does not list any either. Are there any other options?

Does Twain compliance help? On my PC I had Paint Brush Pro which could connect and scan I believe thanks to Twain compliance. So, I tried Gimp on my Mac. Gimp is documented to have scanner capability but the menu items for it don't appear on my install.

I read your post and within about 2 minutes I had my first scan. It even handles the doc feeder. Thanks a bunch!
