My friend has bought over his G5 Xserve running Leopard from Oz to the UK. On setting it up here in the UK we noticed one of the hard drives had worked itself loose.
I simply plugged the bay back in and we booted the HD. It has 3 drives, one running the boot up drive and then 2 running in a RAID.
I noticed that the one drive was not lit. I went into disk utilities and it said the Raid was degraded and the one drive was not recognised. I turned off the server and again reseated the drive bay before booting.
it still says the raid is degraded and gives me the option to change the Raid config from 1 to 2. I'm a newb when it comes to servers and Raid and since he looks to me for help, I'm asking on here!
