Hey all, i'm kinda worried about this dude who came to setup my home system (imac with time-machine). is it possible he could have remote access to my machine without me knowing about it?

if yes how can i verify this? (any software running on my machine i can delete?)
if i change my time-machine network settings will this solve this issue?

thank you

Go to System Preferences, Sharing and see if Screen Sharing is enabled. If so, uncheck that.

Also did you also buy a Time Capsule to use as a backup for Time Machine? I'm not familiar with that, but others might have opinions on changing passwords. And you should probably change your Mac password too..

But I'm curious, why such concern over the installer?

Regards

Just change your passwords - he'll be unable to do anything without your admin password. Check to make sure no other programs are running that you don't want. Activity Monitor under Apps > Utilities will let you know.

There's no such thing as being too secure. ;)
