Hi all,

New to Mac and not great with computers. I have a game that only runs on Windows. I've read about somehow making room on the Mac to run windows, but I never understood how to do it or what it means to make room for windows to run a game. Can someone help? I appreciate it!

Applications - Utitlities - BootCamp Assistant

Print out the Installation and Setup Guide available on the first screen.

Quit BootCamp Assistant.

Read through the guide. It really is easy to understand and about as easy as it gets.

thanks. i guess in reading about it online, it seemed people made it out to be a long process. and I kept hearing about allocating space, which I never understood how to do.

After you've read through the guide, post back with any further questions.

Oh and to state the obvious, you need a copy of Windows to install in the newly Boot Camp'ed Mac..

basically, what bootcamp does is just to help you create a partition and format it so that you can install Windows on it. everything else will be roughly the same as how you would install Windows on a PC.

as for allocating space. depends what you use the partition for, if its just for a game, i would say 5-10GB will be more than sufficient.
