changing the look of the dock

On the tread for Desktop: October 2009 IDouglasJordan posted a screen shot where he has his dock split up and I like that because is looks very clean

Does anyone know how he did that - I have sent him a message but not reply

Or if you'd rather not download an app and wouldn't mind having invisible dividers, you can do this quick terminal trick. iCal-Mac.com - Use separators in your Dock under OS X Leopard.

i use a app available at the apple website its a freeware called dock-dividers in the icons section.
