firewire hard drive

Hello,

I have a little problem, At my school they have mac and at my home i have a pc. Is my firewire harddrive will be transparent between the two platforms or i need to do a tricks to be able to make my hardrive readable on mac/pc.

First, welcome to Mac-Forums!

well the most obvious is both need a firewire port. second, make sure when you format the drive, make sure its formatted for Mac/PC hybrid (HFS+/FAT32) . Then you shouldnt have any problem accessing the drive

How can i format a drive for both Filesystem ?
