Your Mac's Specs

I bought my Mac Pro last spring and had it configured with a 640GB primary and a 1TB storage drive for my video work. 6 months later and the 1TB drive is down to about 486GB. Still quite a bit, but I've only done maybe 6-7 projects (everything's full HD so that explains a lot).

My question is: will the Mac Pro read a 2TB hard drive? I'm looking at a couple of WD 2TB 7200RPM 3.5" drives from newegg for $300/each. I'd like to pick them up and fill out the extra 2 bays I have but if the Mac won't recognize anything over 1TB then I won't bother.

Thanks for your help! :)

There is no limit to the size of the drives the Mac Pro can see.

4 TB is the maximum Apple offers because it looks bad to charge their standard margins on an already expensive 2 TB hard drive.

Hope this helps;D
