Is MacWorld Free Software Virus-Free and Worth Downloading?

I received some cd's free from MacWorld such as "Gaming MegaPac", "Must-Have Mac Gems" and "MacWorld Tips and Tricks Collection" as part of a special subscription promotion. I have not downloaded this software as I am always suspicious of free software. Can anyone comment on if this software is okay to download and is it worth downloading, in other words, is there anything of value on the discs? Thanks

There are no viruses for Mac, and MacWorld is definitely legit, so I would say you have nothing to worry about.

Not to be rude but why would a magazine send a disc with malware/trojans/viruses to a customer? How is that possibly good for business?
