Ok so ive had a powerbook g4 for bout 5 years and have gone through about 3 chargers. my current charger was starting to fall apart so i ordered a new one off ebay, but i was impatient and decided to splice the charger up and make my own and ended up not using a ground wire and may have reversed the polarity. i am still using the original battery which has about 20 minutes of life without being plugged in.
Now when i plug it into an older charger the screen does not come on and it sounds like the hard drive or fan is just spinning constantly.
What did i fry? is my battery/hard drive shot?
