Free Test for Virus and Cleaning

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anybody knows of any place I can get free hard disk virus testing and cleaning software? My broadband provider says that my computer could be slow? I know about 12 months ago I put in 1GB of RAM. So why should it be slow. I am arguing that the broadband I am paying for is not necessarily what I am getting. All help appreciated.

For viruses - there is plenty of info in this forum. For how well your system runs - specs would help.
