Whenever I close my new G4 powerbook screen, and reopen it, I seem to be disconnected from any internet connection I had established beforehand. I am connected via airport wireless network. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this neusance?

Yeah, that's common. You can set up to automatically join a certain network, when ever your wireless thing is on. I think that there is a program out there that you can get that will keep you connected, but I don't know what they are.

It disconnects because it goes to sleep then the lid is closed. It stays asleep until the lid is reopened or activity from some USB device (mouse, keyboard) awakens it.

What I usually do is in the Menu Bar, turn the airport extreme card off and then click on. That always works for me.
