Which MacBook Pro?

Which MacBook Pro do I need to play X-Plane 9?
I will take the 13'' MBP, but which model: 2.26GHz or 2.53GHz.
I play X-Plane 9 and do the normal things like internet, MSN, mail, watch movies and download music.

MBP 2.26GHz OR 2.53GHz

So are you saying that you're main requirement for a new laptop is playing X-Plane 9?

If your not sure...wouldn't it be a good idea to go to the X-Plane website & review the system requirements they list:

System Requirements - X-Plane.com

...then compare that against the laptops you're considering?

1.0GB RAM // 2.0GB RAM
2GHz processor // 2.26GHz processor
60GB hard disk // 160GB hard disk

Is the MBP 2.26GHz well to play X-Plane 9

According to the requirements listed on the X-plane website, either one will play fine, but I'd guess that the one with better specs will also allow you to have other things running more smoothly and be able to handle any future game upgrades that might use more VRAM or processing power. Right now the game needs the power of a 2GHz processor, but at some point it may require a little more than that.

So you'd go for the 2.53GHz?

Sorry, I thought one of the Macbooks only had a 2.0 Ghz processor, but that's the game spec.

I don't think you'll notice much of a difference between 2.26Ghz and 2.53Ghz. Either one is fine, as long as you have at least 2.0 Ghz. Just get the best one you can afford.

If u can afford it, go with the the 2.53 Ghz because
you never know when you will need the extra power for gameing in the future.
