Hi, first time user on Mac forum, so forgive me if this is a daft question. Also only recently seen the light and come over from a PC.

Anyway, running an Imac with Leopard, then upgraded to Snow Leopard and notive that my computer has changed, it's gone from

my computer
to
my computer (2)

Any ideas why this has happened? am I running 2 images? how can I go back to 'my computer'?

Thanks in advance

Clarification: your Home Folder (the house icon in Finder) now says "My Computer (2)"? Are there two hard drive icons on your desktop?

No, only one hard drive icon. When you go into the utilitises and look at accounts there is only one listed 'my computer (2)' Almost as if 'my computer' doesn't nor ever has existed
