time machine

I have just replaced the original 90 Gb HDD with a 500 Gb drive, I have backed up with time machine and on re installing all went well everything was here except all the programs are asking for their instillation codes... including itunes... is this normal or have I done something wrong? cheers Max

When you made your Time Machine backup(s), did you back everything up? (no exclusions) It sounds like you didn't get full restoration of your data when you restored to the new drive.
