shuts-down when it goes to sleep

Hello,

For some strange reason my new MBP with Snow Leopard is shutting down when the screen saver starts. This is a new problem. I have had the computer for three weeks and the problem started today. No changes have been made to the system preferences. Does anyone know of either any viruses or other problems that could be causing this issue?

You mean it really shuts down, or maybe it "safe sleeps".

Do you see a progress bar when you turn it on?
