Saw it on e-Bay...its selling for a "Buy It Now" price of $1599. I believe this is a 2009 "Quad-Core" model Mac Pro, and would sell for $2999 if new.

It's supposed to be fully operational...so if you don't mind the "looks"...it would be one heck of a deal!!!:)

If it were me, I would just cut off the "handles" (or whatever they're called). After you do that, the machine would look perfectly fine. I'm not so concerned about aesthetics - if it works fine, I'd buy it.

If you're really interested I could PM you the link. It has 8gig of ram, but not the best video card (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB)...but for the price it's a great deal!

It's supposed to be fully functional...AND has Applecare till Feb. 2010!...can't beat that!

Oh...BTW...free shipping!!! I've seen folks charge $75+ to ship one of these monsters!;)

I would except I'm prevented from doing so on a student budget. ;)

No problemo!;)

If I had a little extra cash laying around I would get it...but alas, I must show self-control, and walk away!:(

Heck with a little metal working and some soldering you could get that looking almost as good as brand new. For that price + a few $ to your metal worker + a new graphics card that's still a bargin.

Still People don't drop their babies. And I think this does more and costs more initially than a baby to produce. So I'd be looking after it really well. Shame to whoever dropped it.

No matter what the price, personally could not sit there just looking at the poor thing. And to replace the legs, the entire back panel needs to be replaced also as they come in a single piece top lefs, bottom legs and side panel.

Yes it does hurt to look at it!:(

I've seen both G5's & Mac Pros with various levels of these bent handles or feet.

Even though these things are pretty tough, given the weight of the computer...and if someone just "SLAMS" the computer down on the floor (or some serious abuse during shipping)...these handles/feet will bend.

It's a sad site!:(

It's actually still available...which I'm a little surprised by considering the computer's specs! Goes to show that many people highly value the appearance of a computer...plus some folks may be concerned that the computer may not work properly due to the bent handles.

Actually I've seen worst. Saw as stack of them wrapped in plastic, sitting in the rain on a wooden crate. Just outside my classroom.

I was tempted to go steal a fork lift and move them to a safer place. >_>"

Haha, would that 'safe place' coincidentally be your livingroom, CR?:)

Can't blame you...

That's what the shifty eyes are for. >_>" It would have been too much...I think there was around 10 of them in that huge stack. Would take me a while to load those. >_<" Would have gotten caught.

I would have camped out there and found a way to get one. Who picked them up some disposal company. I would of make friends with that truck driver real quick. At a private school near me they give the students first pick at old stuff before its shipped off.

There is an abandoned lot near the out skirts of my school where all the old electronics go to be recycled. I'm tempted to jumps some fences. >_<"
