Hello y'all,
I've got this 1.6 GHz Power PC G5, with 1,25 GB DDR SDRAM running leopard v.-10.5.8. i purchased this unit in August 2005. The DVD Player is not
working right. QUESTION: is it an issue of just replacing the DVD player? Or
time to buy new machine?:(

It could just be the optical drive. But then it could be something else. Hard to say based on the info you've provided so far.

What do you mean by "the DVD player is not working right"?

Because by saying that it is not working right...this can imply that it does something's correctly, and some things not correctly...versus saying, my DVD drive does not work at all.

If everything else is working properly...then you certainly don't need to get a new computer. You could always purchase an external drive or replace the internal one.

Hope this helps,

- Nick
