Lost file!! help!

I was in my pictures folder, and I changed the name on one of my jpgs and it changed from a preview gif icon to a blank icon, and now I can't open it.

What's going on ??

mods please delete this thread, false alarm, I just needed to rename with the .jpg extension. Sorry. :)
