Hello,

On my mac, whenever I try to access accounts in system preferences the screen comes up blank, but does not say it's loading and behaves as if it is displaying what is supposed to be there.
It still allows me to log into my account without a hitch and everything else runs fine, but I am concerned with this issue.

Help and suggestions needed!

Hmm this is odd... maybe you've accidentally hidden them?

Try typing this into terminal:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true

Be aware this will unveil ALL hidden files on your mac.

I typed: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true

Nothing happened.

It could also just not be showing anything because I don't think I have any hidden files.

Is it possible it's a virus?

Problem Solved:

For future reference to anyone else who may have this problem, I backed up all of my important files on external sources, then reinstalled the operating system with the "archive and install" option. When everything was all done and loaded, accounts worked perfectly.
