should I part it out or sell it for scrap parts on ebay? Any other suggestions?

I know the HD is dead and possibly the mobo. the screen has some damage also. I tried booting with extrernal disk & CDs but just got the flashing folder icon. she had an extended warantee, but they said it was too far gone to be covered.

she also gave me a functional imac G5 which I set up as a kids computer...

Run a search on this forum, I believe there is someone that buys broken MBs.

what does that mean?

I'm guessing that if you replace the "G" in "guys"...with a "B"...CrimsonRequiem's post will make more sense!;)

DOA in "computer speak" and "electronic equipment speak" = Dead On Arrival.

Eric is correct.

Regards.
