question about my osx

it says i got mac osx version 10.6.1 so does that mean i have snow leapord or not? i just got it like this month so does it come with snow leapord or regular one also if i got snow leapord would it say snow leapord or something else?

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Yes, you have Snow Leopard. Any OS designated as 10.6.x is Snow Leopard. The current release is 10.6.1 which means Snow Leopard with one service release.

ok thanks but why doesnt it say snow leapord on anything so someone like me would of known that what was on here?

Probably because the version numbers are more accurate for determining what you have. Over time, just saying that you have Snow Leopard is not as helpful as saying you have 10.6.1, or 10.6.2, etc.
