quicktime question

is there a way to convert a quicktime movie file into an mp3 (m4a)?
help much appreciated.

Well mp3 and m4a are music files so no, you can't convert a movie into an audio file.

Is that what you were wanting to do?

yes, that's what i wanted to do.
i find it hard to believe you cannot convert it somehow?
i extracted the audio now i just want it on my ipod dammit.

in quicktime pro, you can extract an audio track and convert it as its own file, there a few ways to do it actually, or you can use an app like mpegstreamclip that will separate the audio from video.

i had the audio extracted already, didn't know i can just simply convert it in itunes lol

o, lol, that is pretty funny, in a way, since itunes is so great for converting audio.
