• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Export to WMV using iMovie '09

I have recently upgraded to iMovie '09 from iMovie '08. I was under the impression the reason I could not export directly into .wmv format from iMovie prior to upgrading was because of the version of iMovie I had (08). Mind you, this was after purchasing Quicktime Pro as well as Flip4Mac WMV Studio Pro. When using iMovie 08 I had to export to .MP4 and then open up Quicktime and export a second time to .WMV. I thought this extra step would be corrected with the upgrade to iMovie '09 but that is not the case. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or what I can do to avoid having to export my videos twice? I need them in WMV format because my customers use PC's and prefer that format...
