Bad reception Airport extreme router

There seems to be some weird problem on my dad's wireless network. Where using a Airport Extreme router.

My mom's macbook always seems to have bad reception. The weird thing when i'm sitting next to here with my macbook i have full reception.
Even if the reception is good on my mom's macbook, internet is still not available or way to slow.

Does someone knows what could be done to solve this problem?

Hi,
I would try to separate those problems. 1st just try to connect using an Ethernet cable and see if the internet is also slow.

What do you mean with "internet is not available" ? Any errors ?
- can you ping any internet server ?
- can you ping your Airport Extreme ?
