want to upload my mac os x itunes library to my iPod

hi ya-rall. i have an ipod classic with tons of my favorite tunes on it and i want to upload my mac os x itunes library. the only problem is i don't know how to and i sure don't want to just plug it in and lose all my faves in one fowl swoop. can anyone guide me please? ps is it fowl or foul. hmm, i don't know.

Upload as in from your iPod, or to your iPod?

It would be "one fell swoop".

if you mean that you want to sync your iPod and not loose your music, I sure don't know how.
