Excel for Mac jumps to end of sheet

I am having a problem with Excel jumping to the end of the spreadsheet. It appears to happen when i click on a cell if i dont have the mouse exactly in the center of the cell. Any suggestions on how to fix this??

My network admin says he is aware of the problem and fixed it on his machine and now cant remember the fix.
