Hi

I was using the terminal and typed as part of a line

sudo rm -r /Applications

and hit enter BY MISTAKE before finishing!!!

it deleted all the apps

Is there a way to reverse this?

I guess there's a reason they called it Terminal.

Way... way too many specs to list.
Such CLI fear ;)

Seriously though, I work in that environment on a daily basis.. I've managed to do things like cd / then mv * /foo

without realizing it. Fortunately that was recoverable.. but i feel your pain. My best advice is to build commands in a text editor when they're potentially harmful things.

I know it is a pain for some people (and I don`t use it) it might not be such a bad idea to either use the "i" switch or just make an alias, that way you will get asked and if you hit enter before you type the rest of your path you won't lose anything
