hello everyone. i have a mac classic 2 that i've had ever since i was young. unfortunately it's been sitting in a box for 14 years and in that time something has made it die it's in amazing condition and i'd love to get it working again since you could say it was a part of my childhood. here's a video of what it does at startup
YouTube - Mac classic II sounds like it's going to explode
anyone able to give me a hand on this? the only thing that i've found on this problem is that the last chime (after the screeching death sound) is known as the chime of death. since it doesn't have a checkerboard pattern or white and black lines i'm leaning towards it being salvagable and i think the hard drive might be bad. maybe the battery is dead? anyway let me know what you think
