safari and bookmarks

quick stupid question: is there any way to export/save all the bookmarks as a text file or something? >_<

no, apple didn't include this feature, but you can use a maintenance app called onyx, it has a feature that activates a debug menu in safari, that menu includes exporting the bookmarks. or you can find them in your home folder in the library as a .plist file that you can open in textedit as a text document.

I have tried the opening the .plist file in Textedit and it worked fine for me. I just backup that .plist file to a zip disk or another HDD for safe keeping. Macmans method will work fine if you want to convert to a text file.
