I am a new mac user but have used vuze to download music on a pc in the past. Here's my problem, I downloaded vuze and I created a port range in my modem such as 55553:55556. I then changed the port in vuze to 55555. I have my firewall settings on my computer set to custom and to allow incoming transfers to the vuze program. Here is where the problem starts, when I try to download a torrent it brings the torrent into vuze but it won't connect. Under the help button in vuze there is a NAT / firewall test, when I run this it says I get an error saying "my computer refused" why can't I connect???

-Thanks for any input.

Run the set up wizard for Vuze. It will pick a suitable port to use automatically.
