Alternative to Airport Express to play music

I don't really feel like paying $100 for an Airport express just to listen to music from my computer in the living room while in my bedroom. Is there a cheaper alternative where I can do something like the airTunes?

I'm not looking for the internet connection part, just want to hook speakers to something and listen to the music while in another room.
