Hello, this is my first post. I just bought a brand new early 2009 model macbook pro which has 2 1GB ram. I am trying to upgrade my memory but have some questions. I used crucial.com's automatic scan to scan my system and it says that my macbook pro can hold DDR3 PC3-8500 with a max of 2GB per slot. When I look up my memory on my mac it says that it has 1GB DDR3 1067 in each slot. What should i buy? the 8500 or 1067? Or am i just confused?

You are just confused. The memory we can take is DDR3 PC3-8500 which then in turn when you plug it into the computer runs at a clock speed of 1067mhz. So you are just confusing the two. I did the same thing as well. It confused me as well. But just look for the operating speed which it will say 1067mhz.
