I really screwed up just now. I decided to use the Mail application for OS X for the first time. Even though I unchecked the "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" box in preferences, all my email was removed from the Gmail server. I constantly need to access my old emails from different locations. This is probably a stupid question but is there any way to return my email to the Gmail server?

Thanks,
Jeff

Can you login to your Gmail account on the web, and go to the Trash folder and see if your messages are there? If not, you'll have to ask Google about it and I don't believe they provide backup services for GMail, so if the messages have been really deleted, you're probably SOL..

Regards
