Sorry that I won't be much help answering your question but I think this looks very nice. Where did you find this contraption?

I just bought the new 3GS and that's an upgrade from the original. It's sooo much faster! I would recommend it highly.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the ones that would actually fit are in the neighborhood of $30 alone not to mention shipping. I'm looking to spend like $10.

Might as well quit looking online and start going out to visit your local flea markets. Maybe you can find some knock-off there in the $10 range.

I ended up buying the one in that picture from Ebay for $3 shipped. We'll see how it ends up working.

I'm looking for something that will hold my 2G iPhone while I'm driving.
Your pocket... with the phone turned off. At least while you're driving anyway.

D3v1L80Y - I have one of those cassette adapters and use my iPhone as an MP3 player in my car. This is the main reason I wanted a holder for it - so I can switch songs, etc without having to scramble around for it.

This thing works pretty well. It has a quick release button which comes in handy when someone is calling you.

Okay, but that's not what you said in your first post... ;):)
