Changing logic board

I have a old 2007 white macbook and was wondering is it ok if i swapped out the logic board with a 2009 logic board?

I ask because apple had add the new nvidia graphic card and wonder if that would be a problem fitting it in.

Even if it could be done...why would you want to?...I'm sure 2009 MacBook logic boards can't come cheap.

Well I did find one that pretty cheap.

I did find one that is close to the price if I just bought a 2007 replacement.I just want to take advantage of the graphic card, that all.

It's unlikely that it will work. Different chipset - which means there are other components involved. If you want a MacBook with the nVidia GPU, sell yours and buy a new one.

Exactly my thoughts.

"maniac20"...Sell the old one + the cost of the 2009 logic board that you would have spent...and you're probably real close to being able to purchase a 2009 MacBook outright.

Not possible, for a start many of the connectors are different. There are many other issues. As already mentioned, sell it and buy new.
