Mail Problem

Ive been having trouble with the mail program that is in Panther. I get all my mail fine, but every time I try to send mail it says "server timed out on port 25" I tried to delete the account and start over and I have the same problem. Tried repairing permissions as well still no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated. This is starting to drive me nuts.

I don't know if this will help but, occasionally with my mother inlaw's isp's outgoing mail server mail does the same thing. Her isp's incoming server will still work though. Have you called your isp's tech support? In most cases they are useless but, Maybe they have an idea!

checked the bellsouth website and it said to set my outgoing mail server to mail.bellsouth.net. Finally I can send again thanks never thought it could be a problem with Bellsouth.
