Replacement Screen Cost

If you crack your screen on your Powerbook, how much does it cost to have the screen replaced?

I am thinking about buying a PB and that is one concern of mine.

It depends on size, damage, service plan etc...
Like if you were to buy a brand new 15" pb screen, it could run about $170. But variables, variables, variables.

Try closer to 1000 dollars

750 just for the screen itself and then around 200 bucks for the hinges and cables

oh, i meant like THE screen it's self. I don't know how much damage was done to the rest of the components of the screen. As I look at it, I probably gave the wrong impression; yes, they ARE expensive.

Yeah it is about $900 on that site that totally takes apart every notebook known to mac. I forget the name of it.
