Adium and smiles not seen in messenger

Hi there, there are two questions I have about adium and smiles:

- If I use a set of smiles which codes are the same as the regular messenger smiles' codes, the are shown in messenger but with the default view.

- If I use a set of smiles with different codes they are not shown in messenger, instead of the picture view the code appears.

I've checked in advanced options the use of custom smiles, but it did't make a difference.

Any idea?
