I just got on it now as I have been busy all day and all my type boxes have a black box around it, and everytime I type or click, I get a guy laughing through the tower. I run a mac mini, you can imagine how annoying it is everytime you want to type a guy laughing. is there anything I can do I am such a newb at this computer and I don't get why this is happening.

I have tried everything I can I dont know anything about it though.

Please help.

A guy laughs at you when you type? How about a video of this, so we can see exactly what is going on?

If you have snow leopard and you want to show us whats going on, just open up QuickTime Player, click File (at the top) then new screen recording.

Sorry if I made it too simple, i didn't mean to offend, just wanted to show you how to do it :)

okay, I don't know how to video, but the problem is everytime I type or click the mouse a sound comes out of my speakers. I just realized that he isn't laughing though as I type this he is saying every thing I type. It is so annoying.

If I type I he says "i" if I space he says space I need this gone.

It honestly sounds like a drunk dude that thinks it is funny when he says the letters.

Thread moved to more appropriate forum. Please read before posting in Rumors & Reports.

You have turned on Voice Over. To turn it off:
1) Open System Preferences - Universal Access - Put a mark in Turn Off
or
2) Press Command (the Apple Key) + F5

It's also not a good idea to put your email address out where any bot can come along and collect it.
I would suggest going back and editing that post to remove it.

Ok, the sound question was answered. The other question needs to be rephrased so it is clear

all my type boxes have a black box around it,
Please help.

email me at Aiken DOT stuart AT hotmail DOT com
or reply here.

As was suggested, edit your first post, as I did the quote above.... IF you want to leave your address in there.

BUT, there are two purposes of posting here. One is for you to get a solution to your issue. The other is for the rest of us to see the solution to your issue as a learning exercise. We can't do that if someone e-mails you a solution.

Problem with my Mac Mini.

So I ran my computer today, and all of a sudden I have a voice talking everytime I type repeating aloud everything I am typing if I hit the space bar it says "space" in a whacked out voice. I can't stand this!

Please help me get rid of this.
