Hello,
Just came out of my 15 year fog and bought a MacBook Pro. Can I use two separate external hard drives (One portable for use on the road and one desktop at home) with Time Machine? Thanks in advance.

Way... way too many specs to list.
as in two drives for the time machine backup location itself? It won't be continuous. ie.. it won't have a clue what's been backed up and what hasn't... since it's incremental that would cause headaches.

Why not use one for a bootable back up - SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner and use the other for Time Machine that way u have the best of both, a current back up and historic changes with old copies.
